The Act of the National Council of the Slovak Republic on Civil Protection of the Population, No. 42/1994 Coll., regulates the conditions for effective protection of life, health, and property against the consequences of extraordinary events. It establishes that responsibility for carrying out civil protection tasks, as provided by this law, lies with the government, ministries, other central state administration bodies, district offices, self-government regions, municipalities, legal entities, and individuals. Civil protection is overseen by the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic.
The fundamental mission of civil protection is to, through systems of tasks and measures aimed at protecting life, health, and property: reduce risk, protect these assets, and create conditions for survival during extraordinary events and declared states of emergency.Under the law, individuals have the right to timely warning of imminent danger, evacuation and shelter, and immediate assistance when life, health, or property are threatened.
Our company, TEBRIX Slovakia s.r.o., as a member of the Security and Defense Industry Association of the Slovak Republic, has long been dedicated to technical solutions for preventive measures to eliminate or reduce threats to civilian safety, property, and public health.
We have experience not only in constructing new protective shelters or their components and technological systems intended for civil protection (including shelters of all categories and types, protected workplaces, hardened facilities, emergency gathering points, etc.), but also in the reconstruction, complete repair, and modernization of existing structures that can no longer effectively serve their original purpose.

We offer:
01.
Design, construction, renovation, reconstruction, and modernization of infrastructure
— in accordance with the law for dual-use facilities (including structural elements like hardened entrances and doors).
02.
Technological equipment ensuring expected functionality of such buildings to protect the population, including:
energy supply, cooling, heating, lighting
air and water detection and purification
wastewater treatment and waste management
03.
Individual protective equipment
(1:1 scale) and community protection gear (1:10, 1:20 scale, etc.)
04.
Consulting
services in the field.
By carrying out the above activities—construction, reconstruction, renewal, modernization of shelters—we enable mitigation or bridging of threats to civilian populations during periods when danger from extraordinary events is expected.
We help state actors not only meet legal obligations under the civil protection law and related regulations, but, more importantly, offer renovation and modernization of civil protection systems using our in-house resources and expertise, focusing on protecting individuals and their immediate surroundings to alleviate or prevent the consequences of emergencies.
Protection plans must include evacuation, sheltering, and material-technical support—thus each responsible individual should incorporate these principles into their personal protection plan.
This is a complex field, and it’s impossible to cover all aspects of civil protection responsibilities or the range of technical options we offer in a short informational sheet. Beyond proposing technical solutions, it’s crucial to consider your time, budget, and needs.
